What does Special support to FreePascal and Lazarus mean?
« on: June 11, 2018, 10:18:41 am »

I've written several Pascal programs with Lazarus/FreePascal because I needed to be able to create Mac OS and Linux version as well but I also have an Embarcadero subscription since years. So as there is now FMXLinux and CrossVCL I thought it might be a good time to check how easy my programs could be moved back to Delphi.

I've read in the 5.5 release notes something about "Special support to FreePascal and Lazarus", so I thoght playing around with midaconverter might be an idea, that's why I've bought a license yesterday (sadly it isn't possible to check in advance whether the tool would do what one expects as there is no demo version available...). I am a bit disappointet at the moment as I can't see any option in Mira Studio 5.6 to do anything useful with Lazarus files... So can you please tell me what "Special support to FreePascal and Lazarus" means and how to work with FreePascal/Lazarus files?!
